David recently photographed his daughter Louise and son-in-law Tim at the family farm in the Hunter Valley. Louise at 7 months pregnant wanted a pregnancy shoot that was elegant, stylish showing the family as they are now with their Cat "Angel" awaiting their precious bundle. Louise has a few insights into the shoot and photographs her father has taken for her through-out her life.....
(Louise) ..... Having known my dad for 32 years now if there is one thing that he has taught me it’s to never let any of life’s special moments go by undocumented. Granted as a child some of these special moments used to drive us crazy, particularly when at the end of a long car trip the sun would be setting and he would just have to pull over and capture the moment, when all we wanted to capture that night’s episode of the Simpsons.
A fair few years on and with a bit of maturity under my belt I am now grateful every day that Dad has captured these special moments, many of which we now display on our walls in our home - every day when we wake up we get to relive beautiful memories that we shared with loved ones.
This is one of our most recent galleries that we’ve hung in our home – it pays homage to the people and the places that we love.
Dad has many clients who have similar galleries in their homes, full of images that the studio has captured over the years - and it’s never too late to start.
Here’s a sneak peek of the next shoot that we’re going to hang on our walls, it’s is a maternity shoot. It breaks away from the conventional maternity shoot but for me I wanted to capture and celebrate a moment in time with our family as we are right now. We simply cannot wait for our next family shoot!
Do you have special memories hanging on your walls at home? We’d love to hear about them…
